First Scottish Clutter Clearing Course in January 2010

Re-energise your Home & Work Life

This course is designed for people who want to move on and let energy back into their life. In four Wednesday evenings or four Thursday evenings we will explore the effect clutter has on your mind and well being. Everything in your living and working space is energy, so clearing the clutter allows new energy to flow & de-stresses your life.

Do you have

 piles of paper everywhere?
 things you are keeping 'just in case'?
 wardrobes overflowing with clothes?
 storage boxes still unopened?
 too much of everything and not enough time?

Don’t let the negative energy of your clutter get you stuck in your life. Transform your life and free up the energy of your surroundings, your mind and your body.

These are the four biggest obstacles my clients state during our initial free consultation:

 Don’t know where to start
 Feeling overwhelmed by clutter
 The need of a process to follow
 How to find the time

With the help of this course you can overcome these obstacles. You will learn where to start, how to find the time and much more. Worksheets, pair work, group work, brainstorming & demonstrations will be part of a positive and fun experience.

Course Content:

Week 1
What is clutter, why you have it & how it affects your mind, body & surroundings

Week 2
Identifying & analysing clutter and clutter zones step by step

Week 3
Clutter clearing & staying clutter free

Week 4
You & your time

On successful completion of the course you will receive a Clutter Clearing Certificate & a starter pack.

Feng Shui Workshop

I am off to a Feng Shui Workshop at Tir na nOg tomorrow held by June Harrison from Feng Shui Scotland.

I want to get a better understanding of the energy in homes and offices. This would help whilst I assist my clients to let go of clutter and get organised. I want to understand why certain areas seem to attract more clutter and how to optimise the energy flow. It will hopefully provide me with a deeper insight and give me another tool for my organising and de-cluttering services.

Does anybody have any experience with Feng Shui? I would love to hear from you.

With the end of the school holidays approaching fast are you organised enough for a relaxed and enjoyable start? Here are some tips to get you on the right track: · The clear out day Set a day to clear the kids bed rooms and cupboards with the kids of unwanted items and outgrown clothes · The re-supply day Re-stock the school bags with supplies (paper, folders, pens, pencils, markers, crayons, etc. · The clothes day Make sure the school uniforms and shoes fit and you have enough items so you won’t have to wash every day. Don’t forget to label the clothes · Create a planner Get your kids involved. Allocate certain tasks (clearing breakfast table, taking out rubbish, emptying lunch boxes…) and note them on a planner easily visible for every family member · Create a routine Before school: breakfast, shower, dress, tasks etc. After school: clearing out school bag, homework, playHave some fixed time and encourage kids to talk about their day. Lead by example and tell them about your day. Dinner time is usually a good choice. Ask your friends for help and advise should you be a new school parent like me. Isn't it all exciting? Good luck!

Holiday in Germany

Back form the holidays and right into business. Not quite. With the kids still off school we want to enjoy most of the time with activities & fun before the day to day routine starts again.
This year our holidays took us to Germany visiting friends and family and we had a great time cycling, horse riding, swimming and walking. Did you know that there are fantastic cycle paths where you can cycle for miles without seeing cars and being surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Muensterland. We spend some time in a little town called Tecklenburg. It’s just 60k away from where I grew up and it’s just stunning. I never would have thought I would choose it as a holiday destination but with family some values seem to shift. One thing we couldn’t help noticing again was how tidy and well organised Germany is. Is that the reason why I like helping people to get organised? Maybe it’s in my genes and the system is working.
Having been away for two weeks followed by a week of a house full of visitors it took me only 1 ½ hours to get back on top of my paperwork and my office organised. Thanks to my desk folder, filing system and diary no dead lines where missed and I felt in control. Think about this: Did you know that dealing with paperwork on a regular basis and having a system in place will have a positive effect on your living environment, time, finances and health.
